SeatCommons MCP connector

Find an event, compare seats, and get a SeatCommons link to complete your purchase.

Connect

Use this remote MCP server URL in an assistant that supports Streamable HTTP:

https://mcp.seatcommons.com/mcp

No SeatCommons account, API key, or authentication is required to search public inventory. Your assistant's plan and administrator settings may affect custom connector access. Public directory availability depends on each platform's approval; this page does not imply a listing or endorsement.

What you can do

ToolPurpose
search_eventsSearch upcoming events by performer, team, venue, category, location, and date.
get_eventRead event details and available performance dates.
check_availabilityCompare seats by quantity, section, and per-ticket budget.
get_checkout_linkRefresh availability and get a SeatCommons purchase link. This does not reserve tickets or create an order.

Try asking

Prices and checkout

Prices include payment processing and exclude sales tax. When purchase history is unknown, estimates use the platform's first-order buyer-fee waiver when available. If a previous completed SeatCommons purchase is known, the assistant can set buyerHasPurchasedBefore: true for standard pricing. The connector does not verify eligibility. SeatCommons checkout confirms purchase history, applicable fees, taxes, and the final total.

Every tool is read-only. Tickets are not held or purchased by the connector. Availability and prices can change. You must open SeatCommons, sign in, verify your phone, review the purchase terms, and authorize payment. Checkout is US-only. Some links open the event date and require you to select the seats again. Offer references expire after 30 minutes; ask for fresh availability if needed.

Data and permissions

The connector receives the tool arguments sent by your assistant: search terms, event dates and locations, ticket preferences, event identifiers, temporary offer references, and an optional prior-purchase indicator. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information. This connector does not need access to your private SeatCommons account or your full conversation history.

Tool requests read SeatCommons public APIs over HTTPS. Catalog and inventory responses are cached in process memory for up to 30 seconds. Rate-limit state uses the request IP and expires in memory. Application logs use fixed failure messages rather than tool arguments or upstream response bodies; hosting and network providers may process operational connection data. SeatCommons' privacy policy governs its processing, and your assistant provider's policies govern the conversation.

Limits and troubleshooting

The pilot permits 60 MCP requests per minute per client IP. Hosted assistants can share IP addresses. Requests have a 256 KiB body limit; upstream calls have a 10-second timeout. If unavailable or rate limited, retry shortly. If inventory is incomplete, the response says so; it must not be presented as complete or sold out. If a reference expires or seats disappear, run check_availability again. The connector cannot access orders, cancel purchases, issue refunds, or sell tickets for you.
